New Life Rafts FOR SALE
We sell new rafts
but do not keep a big stock because there are so many
different types, models and sizes that it is impossible to
have them all available at all times; but we can order any
raft you wish from the following options:
If the boat is registered as a Recreational vessel,
you can buy:
1- A ZODIAC Recreational life raft (ISO
9650 Coastal or Open Sea) that we order in Europe (Delivered
within 3 to 8 weeks via Ocean freight)2- A REVERE life raft that we order in the USA (Delivered within 1-3 weeks)
3- A
PLASTIMO life Raft from Budget Marine in
St.Maarten (if you need one immediately; they always have
some in stock). Please ask for TIM and he will help you out.
If the vessel is registered as a Commercial vessel
then you can buy:
1- A ZODIAC Commercial raft.
2- A REVERE Commercial raft.
A
recreational raft only needs to be serviced every 3
years.
A commercial raft needs to be serviced every 12 months in compliance with SOLAS regulations.

Depending on where you will be stationed with the vessel
you should check online which brands the life raft
service station close to your home port can service.
(It is never a good idea to buy a brand of raft that
can't be serviced near you; so that should always be
taken into consideration.)
The
following applies to the commercial SOLAS life rafts that
we sell only:
You will see that there are basically 3 different types of SOLAS rafts:
Round = Round container
LPC= Low Profile Container
Xtrem= even lower/flatter container
(You can see the specific sizes when you open the PDF-files on the web page.)
The Xtrem is vacuum packed; so it is smaller in the container; but all 3 are basically the same raft.
The Xtrem will be a bit more expensive (approx. 100 euro more) to service because of that vacuum pouch; it needs to be replaced with every service.
All SOLAS rafts come in a hard case container and not in a valise as valises are not SOLAS approved.
You have the option between PA SOLAS or PB SOLAS (PA= Pack A = With food and water, PB= Pack B= No food and water).

Replacement Rafts
If you buy a new raft from us we might be able to provide
you with a rental raft until your new raft gets here
(subject to availability of rental rafts).
We do not charge you for the raft that you "rent" until your
new one arrives;
but only
starting on the day that we put the order through (= the day
I receive your payment for the new raft).
In other words; if you would take a rental raft from us
today but you only pay for a new raft in 2 weeks you will
have to pay the rental for the 2 weeks, but if the new raft
then takes another 4 weeks to get here you will not be
charged for those 4 weeks. If you pay for the new raft and
take a "rental" the same day you pay nothing for the
"rental".
